It’s easy to understand soil moisture and temperature conditions with the IOT Plus Soil Moisture Sensor. Designed to improve irrigation scheduling and water-use efficiency, the sensor provides actionable data that helps determine when and where to water crops, plants, or landscaped areas.

Monitor Water Tension to Prevent Plant Stress

The IOT Plus Soil Moisture Sensor measures soil water tension (matric potential) and soil temperature. Using a resistive granular matrix sensing element, users can fine-tune tension thresholds to detect the earliest signs of water stress and irrigate before crops or plants are affected.

This unique sensing element delivers consistent, reliable calibration without requiring recalibration for each installation—saving time and ensuring repeatable results across deployments.

Integrated Temperature Measurement

The sensor also includes a thermistor-based temperature element, capable of measuring temperatures from –40°C to 125°C (–40°F to 257°F). These readings enable automatic temperature compensation of moisture measurements, eliminating the need to re-measure soil moisture when temperature conditions fluctuate.
